"Manly" Word Book
I had a request from a family member to make a word book for my little cousin. Being that he's a football player, I didn't want to go my usual "frilly" route, so I needed to design something more masculine. The file below is my result. I have cut this book, but yet to bind it and get all the embellishments in it. Would love to see what you all can do with the file, so if you use it, please be sure to SHARE your work.....I need the inspiration. Hope you enjoy!

Coil binding cutout template
Hi All,
So my thing lately is WordBook and I've been asked by a cousin to make a senior book for one of her boys. Well, the book has come together quiet well, but I have been struggling to CUT the binding holes. I've the attached file is the result of a days worth of tinkering and trying to create something I can use to cut the holes and not have to punch them all individually with my Big Bite.
I left the circles as "singles" so you can shorten or lengthen the row depending on your need. Once you have the desired length, "union" all the pieces together and then do "path difference" to get the desired effect.
I realize that this is by no means PERFECT, but it's a start and Iwill keep you posted as I continue to work with it. My next goal to to make a guide for it, so the holes are always the same distance from the sides. If you have any thoughts on how to do this, I'd LOVE to hear them. Happy Journeys!

Music is....
my first love. This is just something I was playing with tonight. The enter circle reads, "If music be the fruit of love, play on." One of my favorite Shakespeare quotes :). Not exactly perfect....but I'm still learn and won't give up on making it BETTER. Enjoy.

A Card/Case for a DVD/CD
For the past few months, I've been working on "Seussical the Musical" and it's been a blast. I directed the orchestra pit and the kids both on and off the stage did an amazing job. The only problem is that with the way this show is set up (it's almost all music) the kids never got to see the show. So I thought it would be cool to see if any of the parents recorded it so I could maybe make a DVD of the show for the kids to have as a parting gift. I also thought it would be cool to make an Card/Envelope to put the DVDs in as I don't want to spend a lot on jewel cases. So the attachd is the design I came up with. Haven't had a chance to cut it, but I'm pretty it will work. I'll post a pictures as soon as I get mine cut and decorated!
