Super Bowl Food

So, I just spent AGES writting a post and Blogger ate it up and SPIT it out.  Oh, am I hot!  SOOOOO, here's what I made today.  The asian sauce is AMAZING and the others are good too.  Leave me a comment if you are interested in the recipes.

Chunky ATC Swap

Here's my ATC for the Chunky ATC swap on Creative Friendships and Inspirations:

There is a choral warmup called Inchworm based on a Hans Christian Andersen tale that I just LOVE and it was my inspiration for this ATC.  Here is Danny Kaye signing it (although, we don't sing it this way, you get the idea).

 I love how music can be a medium for so many things, and this is another example of just that.  Here's how they did it on Sesame Street (If it was on Sesame Street AND the Muppets...it has to be educational, right? :P):

It's not finished yet, I think I still want to add some text around the inchworm on the front, and maybe a bug or two on the back.  I also built a small birdhouse....but I think that might be too much. 

Thanks for stopping by!  Oh, I forgot to mention that I shot these using the light box I made.....you'll be amazed what a little bit of foam board and tape can do for a picture!!!  I'll be sure to post pictures of my set up soon!

First Craft Fair of the Year!

Yesterday my mom and  went to our first craft show of the "New Year," I am a teacher so I always think of the year as being from September to August, and I found lots of goodies.  I wanted to show photographs of some of my favorite finds.  They cost me a pretty penny, but boy am I glad I got them.  Can't wait to try and make some of these. 

First, the feather hairpiece or lapel pin.....I loved it as soon as I saw it.  I'm a bit fascinated with English fasinators, so this is a step in the right direction for me :)

 

Then I found the booth that broke the bank....this was what I saw first: The star album

Beautiful purples had me sold and THEN, I saw it opened and HAD to have it!

From there, I saw these amazing Skinny Notepads...but on steroids:

There is also a pocke on the back of this one!

And the piece I couldn't leave the craft fair without....this simple box:

And you are saying, "Why on EARTH would you want that box?"  Well, here's why:
